View from a porthole on the William A. Irvin flagship USS (Steel) cargo ship. We toured it-very interesting. It hauled taconite on the Great Lakes in the mid-1900s and hosted distinguished guests-mostly mineral barons when transport deals were being negotiated.

We 'stole' new potatoes and had an incredible supper last night including baby beets and greens, garden green beans, new potatoes, zuccini salad and rotisserie prime rib roast.
Gardening has been a wonderful expirience for the girls-and what a garden it has been this year at Papa's house.
